News from the Kapiti and Mana Region

Well, I’ve done my first full month as your VRM and its flown by! I’ve attended every group meeting twice now and have a good understanding of the professions within each. I’m feeling pumped about where Venus is going, and what we can collectively do to enhance each group and maximise our relationships and growth both personally and professionally.

I really hope you all managed to take time out over the Easter break and/or the school holidays to rejuvenate your batteries. Although I hear some of you saying ‘really’, I did that the day the kids went back to school!

The ‘Venus Power Hour’ was run in Kapiti last week; it was fantastic sitting in the room with like-minded women either learning a new skill and/or refreshing an oldie but a goodie. The workshop also provided a fantastic opportunity to network with women from other groups that you may not necessarily have engaged with previously. I witnessed a number of Raves being scheduled and new relationships being formed, isn’t this what Venus is all about!

Thank you to Amy Helm in Kapiti group who took the lead to setup a group RAVE with a focus on tips and tricks for Facebook. It was a great session and through collaboration we all walked away with something new and useful to use in our business. Sharyn Gibbons whilst you were not present at this meeting, some tips and tricks you had gifted to the Kapiti group previously were also shared, so big thanks to you too.

I will be setting up a number of group RAVE’s in the coming months, as it’s a great way to meet half a dozen women in a focused 1 hour and learn about their business. Watch this space!

Upcoming Events

We will be running a Member Success Workshop on Friday 2 June please keep an eye out on Facebook for the Eventbrite link for the details which will be posted later this week.

Inviting guests to Venus

I love how you all see the value in being a Venus member and are inviting guests to join your groups, please keep up the great work. One key step to inviting a guest is to ensure they are registered through the Venus website prior to them attending a meeting. The reason for this is I like to introduce myself to them personally before they attend your meeting, I send them our introduction email/information and then follow up with them after the meeting.

Registering is simple; either load (it’s best either you or I do this) your guests’ details into the Venus website to register their attendance, alternatively provide me with your guest name and contact number –  I’m happy to do the admin for you!

Happy month of May….

Kind regards,
Hana
